I grew up not completely understanding the full value of an education. In high school I had no idea what my future had in store for me, although I assumed it would most likely include working from day to day. I was completely unaware of how to approach college. I just assumed you had to come from a wealthy family and have that family support. I did not. It was later in life that my husband convinced me that if I wanted to pursue it, I could. I am proud to say that I am the first person in my family to have graduated from college. I also did this while raising four children. You have to want it, for it to become a reality. Wanting it is only a beginning with the possibilities being endless.
